Examination Pattern

The UKPSC Combined State Civil / Upper Subordinate Services Examination consists of three stages:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination serves as a screening test for admission to the Main Examination.

Note: The Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in Prelims are not counted in the final merit list.


Stage 2: Main Examination

Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Examination are eligible to appear in the Main Examination.

The Main Examination assesses a candidate’s knowledge, analytical ability, writing skills, administrative understanding, and awareness of Uttarakhand-specific issues.
