Examination Pattern

The BPSC Combined Competitive Examination consists of three stages:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination is a screening test conducted to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination.

Stage 2: Main Examination

Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Examination are eligible to appear in the Main Examination.

The Main Examination evaluates a candidate’s knowledge, analytical ability, writing skills, and understanding of governance and public administration.

Qualifying Paper

General Hindi

Marks: 100 (Qualifying Only)

Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the Commission.

Paper I: General Studies-I
