Examination Pattern
The BPSC Combined Competitive Examination consists of three stages:
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination is a screening test conducted to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination.

Note: The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are not counted in the final merit list. It serves only as a qualifying stage for admission to the Main Examination.
Stage 2: Main Examination
Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Examination are eligible to appear in the Main Examination.
The Main Examination evaluates a candidate’s knowledge, analytical ability, writing skills, and understanding of governance and public administration.
Qualifying Paper
General Hindi
Marks: 100 (Qualifying Only)
Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the Commission.
